RETAIL DESIGN:

ANDRYA'S ATELIER

This project was designed for my Advanced Commercial Design course. The project included researching a location that is out of our comfort zone. We were to research the local architecture, building codes, climate, demographics and economic market. From there, we were to select the most appropriate building shell of a handful provided to us. At that point we began developing the design concept, space plan, budget and timeline.

This project was very research oriented and we fine tuned our occupancy calculations. We were also required to present the "client" with multiple design schemes which fit their needs. I found this helped to keep our minds open with regard to our personal design preferences. It was an interesting opportunity to design a space without the ability to fully furnish it.
